MEET OUR GENERAL MANAGER
Pedro Fuentevilla was born and raised in Mexico City by his Mexican father and British mother. Pedro and his siblings were brought up in a culturally diverse home.
He attended the American School in Mexico City, where he participated in several athletic programs earning accolades in Baseball and Football. One of Pedro's biggest passions as a child was horse jumping. Influenced by his British grandfather, he competed nationally in show jumping from ages 6 to 13.
At a young age, Pedro already knew his dream was to study Hotel/Hospitality Management. He graduated high school and moved to Switzerland to attend the world-renowned Les Roches International School of Hotel Management. During Pedro's university studies, he pursued three internships and had the opportunity to work for The Ritz Carlton – ABAMA in the Canary Islands, the then newly opened Harbour Grand Hotel in Hong Kong, and a luxurious 25-all-suite boutique hotel in Rivera Maya, Mexico.
Pedro then moved to the US and served at the Peninsula Hotels as Assistant Manager of Operations, where he helped re-launched the famous Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, CA. He continued his career within Peninsula Hotels for the next five years working through the Food and Beverage divisions with stops at The Peninsula Hong Kong and The Peninsula Chicago, which included managing the now Michelin-Star Restaurant, Gaddi's.
Pedro then relocated to Miami, where he worked at The Setai, Miami Beach, a hotel that has earned the acclaimed 5-star Forbes award eight years in a row. He directed the re-opening of their signature restaurant, Jaya, and later joined their Sales Team representing the property throughout Latin America.
He then continued his Miami Beach tenure by leading a team as General Manager and opening Hotel Greystone, a 91-room boutique hotel.
In 2023, Pedro moved to West Texas to help launch La Estancia, a first-of-its-kind a private club in the Permian Basin. Pedro is married to Ginette, who hails from Argentina, and they have three small children Mila, Teo, and Sienna.
